I did this. I'm working on fixing some things for the desktop on that tablet (in particular those annoying bluetooth crashes). But there's a few catches right now; stuff that really ought to be mentioned because you'll definitely run into issues if you just try to install the current image: - Above all, it's the *desktop* running on that tablet, so don't expect too much touch stuff to work so great. It /tends/ to work, but it's really meant to be used with a keyboard and a mouse. - bluetooth doesn't work (it crashes if you try to pair devices), so you'll want to invest in a USB OTG dongle. - don't expect special tablet sensors to work either: GPS, ambient light, NFC, etc. don't currently work, neither does screen rotation and such using the accelerometer. - You can't shutdown via the power button, the system will just reboot if the button is held. You'll want to shutdown using the menu in Unity. - Compiz or something tends to lock up with touch every once in a while, it just keeps "grabbing" rather than actually moving the mouse and allowing to click. - etc. So if what you want is really a useable tablet, I don't recommend you try it. On the other hand, if you want to help out with fixing the issues, you're welcome. :) Mathieu Trudel-Lapierre <[email protected]> Freenode: cyphermox, Jabber: [email protected] 4096R/EE018C93 1967 8F7D 03A1 8F38 732E FF82 C126 33E1 EE01 8C93 _______________________________________________ mlug mailing list [email protected] https://listes.koumbit.net/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/mlug-listserv.mlug.ca
