I am building two small systems for test / dev environments, to support pre-deployment of virtual machines. These would be scratch machines that need off-the-shelf components so anything can be replaced/rebuilt quickly, and RAID-1 so in case of failure rebuilds can be quick. No critical data here, just aiming at quick sandboxes. I'd like to hear recommendation for SSDs, I always look at Intel first but I haven't checked specs/reviews for ~2 yrs now, specially regarding small servers. If anyone has built such systems in the recent past I'd like to know what brands you chose and why. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
