Job Responsibilities
------------------------
oversee the proper operation, availability and security of the
environments.
Effect and automate operations tasks across the server farm.
Actively participate in all levels of technological projects.
Write code (system automation as well as application level).
Ensure internal customer care (Help desk duties). (minimal)
Document systems and procedures.
On call 24/7.
Required Qualifications
------------------------
English/French Bilingual.
5 years experience administrating production environments and writing
production grade code
Linux guru (Debian, Ubuntu), good FreeBSD experience.
Excellent knowledge of setting up, managing, monitoring, and tuning web
servers and databases.
Excellent understanding of network services (DNS, DHCP, SMTP, HTTP,
NFS).
Excellent scripting skills. (bash or perl*)
Experience using source code control systems. (svn, git)
Experience managing storage technologies (RAID, LVM).
Excellent knowledge of configuration management tools (Puppet).
Excellent understanding of network concepts (TCP/IP, Routers, Load
balancers, Firewalls, VPNs, etc).
Very good knowledge of virtualization technologies (ideally LXC,
otherwise others).
Very good programming knowledge (at least 1 compiled language).
Working experience managing Windows XP, Vista, and Windows 7.
