My name is Marcelo Rocha, and I would like to introduce myself and

I don't live in Canada. I'm a brazilian sys admin, so why am I writing you...?
I lived in Canada for almost an year (around 2007).
I returned to Brazil with the intention of completing my degree, get
married, etc.
I have plans to return to Canada, for life this time.
As Montreal is one of my most likely choices, I would like to meet
some people in IT, supporters of the free software / linux.
I already participate in several projects and communities in Brazil,
so I intend to follow this same "life style" while living in Canada.
Basically, and initially, I have two questions:
1- Is there any basic rule or rules to be followed in the list? Like,
for example, no html messages or no top posting, etc.? Just to avoid
any mistakes on my future posts.
2- I checked a few emails on the archives of the list and I realized
that the emails are written in English. Therefore, the default
language of this list is english right!? I doubted if I should use
english or french.
At most, hope to cooperate with the list and, maybe, make friends,
since shortly I do intend to start my immigration process.
Best Regards,
Hi Marcelo,
The list has very few rules, English or French is allowed (although it
tends to be mostly in English). HTML is not allowed, and trimming and
bottom posting is a good habit.
Good luck on your immigration, you chose a great city!
Yours,
Jeremy
