I know I've seen this topic go by before, so I apologize in advance for
the noise.
I'm looking to get a new laptop to run Linux. I'm tired of buying
Windows loaded laptops and reformatting them -- I have yet to get a
laptop up and running yet with proper suspend/resume functionality. That
may be more a statement on my skills than the target hadware, but I'm
hoping to avoid a bunch of issues by picking a platform that has already
been vetted.
Planned distribution: OpenSuse 13.1
General HW requirements is a "decent" mid-range laptop (i.e., not
bleeding edge).
Price is flexible, but I'd like to keep it in the $600 ballpark.
Does anyone know of any places in the Montreal area that sell laptops,
and know enough about Linux to offer decent advice?
