I once had two residentiaal DSL lines at the same address, while I was 
in transition between one ISP and another.  Neither of the ISPs  was 
Bell's.

In fact it turns out I could use either line to communicate with either 
ISP.  Apparently the PPPOE connection headers told Bell which ISP to 
connect me to.  Whether this was legitimate I don't know.
