I'm in the same boat as you. I tried a few different ways to get the MLVM patches to apply to the BSD ported OpenJDK and simply couldn't make it go. There's files that don't exist or have moved, and significant changes to many others. I think we need to get an update on the status of the BSD patchset with more recent OpenJDK builds. A large part of the reason why I haven't been continuing to play with MLVM recently (outside of resource limitations) is that I can't run it natively on OS X yet.
