John - thanks for posting the link. And thanks to Jim for a write-up
that is spot-on.

After much parsing, method handle wrangling, JNIing and Java2D work,
we're just at the point of starting to be able to run some of our full
applications. It's a very exciting point in the project!

One minor point - the marketing team only got their hands on the very
last letter: it's Magik with a 'g' not Majik with 'j' ;-)
