What's new at Car Talk Plaza?
Major recalls that may affect you.
Earlier this week, both Honda and Ford announced major safety recalls.
All of us here at Car Talk Plaza wanted to make sure you got the news. (NPR has
already put us on notice, if we lose one more listener, it's adios. So, we're just not
in a position to let these things slip by anymore.)
The following vehicles are affected:
Honda Odyssey
Honda Pilot
Acura MDX
Ford Escape (and Mazda Tribute)
All told, nearly *1 million* vehicles are covered by this recall. In Honda's case, the
transmissions might fail. In Ford's case, the engine may stall out at speeds under 40
mph.
