Hello,

I have the same problem as described in the post "Mnemosyne + LaTeX on
Mac OS X?" with the difference that I don't use Mac OS X but Linux
(Ubuntu 8.04).
I installed Latex (the Tex live package) and dvipng.
However, if I try to implement Latex code in cards, I get the error
message

"Problem with latex. Are latex and dvipng installed?"

If I have a look at the .mnemosyne/latex folder, the temp.dvi file is
created with the correct formula. If I use the terminal/console, go to
the above folder and type in
dvipng -D 200 -T tight tmp.dvi
as given in the dvipng file in the same folder, the correct tmp1.png
is created.
So both Latex and dvipng seem to work, but somehow there seems to be
something wrong when using Mnemosyne.

Did anyone experience a similar problem or has anyone an idea how to
fix this problem? I would like to use Mnemosyne for learning content
with formulas, so I would appreciate your help very much.

Bests,
Dominik
