Hm. A few thoughts: 1) Metadata like that, it seems to me should be stored somewhere other than in the card itself. How does one handle a 'vice-versa' case or a three-sided card? Store a copy of the year in both question and answers? 2) Even if the metadata has to be stored in the cards themselves, I don't think I'd want to be doing that manually. Something like adding the year or date is so mindless a plugin can and should be doing it.
