I have this problem with Thai and the tone markers. One way around it is to
use HTML. It's a bit fiddly, but if you create a Word document with
something like this:

<font face = "*Name of Word default Hindi font here*"><font size = "5">*your
Hindi word here*</font>

written lots of times (write it out once then cut and paste then press and
keep you finger on 'ctrl+y' is one way to do it). Swap the bits written in
italics as required, then paste the whole lot into the Mnemosyne answer box.

It's fiddly, but at least you'll be able to get started while you wait for
2.0 to come out. Once it does, the then redundant HTML shouldn't cause any
problems (I hope! Peter ...)

Here's an example from my list to give you an idea. I use HTML for the
English to let me know the question's on Thai:

<font face= "Monotype Corsiva">low blood pressure</font>

<i><font face = "Angsana New"><font size = "5">??????????</font></i>

I hope that lot's clear ..

Good luck, Spencer
