Mnemosyne is primarily a memory aid; it helps one remember specific concepts, but it is not, in my opinion, very good as a teaching aid in and of itself. The reason for this is that flashcards are not a very good way to grasp the "big picture."
For Python, there are some excellent tutorials on the official website; if you work your way through the tutorials, and make cards in Mnemosyne based on what you learn from them and want to remember, you will probably find the approach is far more effective than if you simply use someone else's data set.
