I just recently started using Mnemosyne but it happened to me when I
first started using Mnemosyne with a USB key. I probably removed the
drive while the Mnemosyne files were in an inconsistent state. After
that I make sure to "Eject" the key and wait a couple seconds before
removing it.

Such a labor intensive and long-term project as making Mnemosyne cards
it would be hard to overemphasize the importance of backing up. (I
keep my cards in three places other than the key.)

After I restarted my linux system I started mnemosyne and all my cards
were gone. What happened? Has this happened to anyone before?
