Hi, Strange that both of your mem files are just gone, as only one file can be open at the same time, so anything happening at shutdown should only affect that one file...
Have you done anything 'new' to your system lately, like changing user accounts, running Mnemosyne from a USB key, installing a virus scanner? Have you tried checking your disk for errors? Is there anything in the error log? Can you now add cards to your deck without problems?
