It's ok, i've sorted it.  I downloaded the font, then did the
following:

sudo cp *.ttf /usr/local/share/fonts
cd /usr/local/share/fonts
sudo chown root:root *.ttf
sudo fc-cache

The font then showed in Mnemosyne.
