I have found a working principle that satisfies me: Knowledge (which
must be looked up and memorized) go inside the flashcard program,
Skills (developed through large-scale practice) outside. And so, the
"minimum information principle" has won. (Though it still seems
convenient to use the flashcard system for scheduling the later,
bigger reviews.)
