This might not be exactly what you're looking for, but I do this pretty 
successfully with Dropbox; a file-syncing software (http://www.getdropbox.com). 
  I simply put my .mnemosyne folder in the dropbox folder, and (on linux) 
symlink to it from the "normal" spot or (on windows) create a "shortcut" that 
uses the Mnemosyne command line argument to point to it directly.
