I performed a test on my Dell Vista machine and Mnemosyne worked fine. I created a new database, added cards, edited the deck and so on.
Then I opened one of my databases from my WinXP machine and it worked fine. I looked at the compatibility option and switched on Windows XP SP2 compatibility and it worked the same. Therefore, I assume Mnemosyne works fine on Windows Vista and I don't know that the problem could be.
