I don't think so. I think that that is part of the price you pay for
the simplicity & ease. Nor can you specify the grade at which the new
cards will be imported, for example, unless you are willing to use the
more complex full-featured formats such as the XML format. (Which
would indeed let you specify for each card its category, as well.)
