Hello, I'm new to Mnemosyne and I don't know anyone who uses it to try and see what would happen, so I'll have to ask you a question that may sound pretty stupid to many around here, but here we go: I know how to create a file with images and how to export it as .txt or .xml thanks to this series of screencasts http://www.youtube.com/user/withinjapandotcom#p/u/11/tEqGSXDWhxA, but if I send it to someone else am I supposed to send the image files together or does the txt or xml for Mnemosyne "grab" the images by itself when sent or copied?
I believe it doesn't, which means I'll have to send the image files along with it. If that is the case, wouldn't it better to create, for each category with images, a corresponding folder in the .mnemosyne directory with the same name so that you don't have to look for each and every one of them in a sea of images you might end up with after some time using the software? I mean, if the category is "Japanese", it might be better to create a "Japanese_images" folder for all the images I add to the former, isn't it? Or do you have another and more practical solution? Or am I underestimating the whole thing and the images are automatically "grabbed" when sent or copied?
