Hi Peter, Thanks for your reply. I thought of that, but it didn't seem particularly easy either, since several of my decks have a lot of categories, so picking the ones to activate each time is going to get messy.
It sounds like 2.0 will solve that issue, indeed. I'm looking forward to its release. But still... wouldn't it be great to hand even this over to Mnemosyne itself, by specifying more about each category and using that information in the algorithm that brings up new cards? I was thinking: percentage of new cards to come from this category (or rather this collection of categories actually). But perhaps even percentage of reviewed cards to come from this category? Or even percentage of total time spent on this category? And perhaps it would even be possible to specify the total amount of time you want to spend each day on average, and let Mnemosyne figure out how many repetitions and which and how many new cards? I'm just tossing ideas... I'm very interested in the subject and perhaps this triggers one of your brilliant minds to invent something brilliant...
