The reasoning here is 'if there no difference in scheduler behaviour between these steps, why show them as separate steps?' As mentioned, I believe there exists a plugin which also shows the number of lapsed/forgotten cards in the status bar. That way, you can distinguish these phases if you want, by checking if that counter is zero. Thanks for the feedback!
