In Ubuntu I started to logout of my user session with Mnemosyne still open. Ubuntu warned me that Mnemosyne was still open so I clicked cancel and manually closed Mnemosyne first before logging out again.
Just now however I restarted Mnemosyne to find that I have nothing at all in my database. It's completely empty!! The .mem file contains 197 bytes like the empty default.mem. Looking at the log I see this: 2010-07-20 20:33:03 : R 1d3646f5 2 2.27 | 7 10 3 2 0 | 0 1 | 1 0 | 2.5 2010-07-21 02:16:34 : Saved database 0 0 14307 2010-07-21 02:16:44 : Saved database 0 0 0 2010-07-21 02:16:44 : Program stopped 2010-07-21 04:41:37 : Program started : Mnemosyne 1.2.1 posix linux2 2010-07-21 04:41:38 : Loaded database 0 0 0 2010-07-21 04:42:36 : Saved database 0 0 0 So it looks like somewhere between 02:16:34 and 02:16:44 all 14307 cards were deleted?!!! How on earth did that happen?! I can't imagine I'm the first person to try and logout of a session without closing Mnemosyne first. Is there anyway of getting the database back or will I have to reimport the latest backup file and lose a day's worth of reviews? -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "mnemosyne-proj-users" group.
