About 80% of my cards are images and I can't see how this would be useful. Not for me anyway. I rarely use the mouse and so for most mature cards it's two taps on the space-bar and I move on.

But this is something that interests me and before I discovered mnemosyne I used to play around with using the gnome or kde screensaver to help me identify images. One surprise discovery for me was that by configuring the screensaver to display the filename (which can be the information being learned) it is surprisingly easy to focus on the image without reading the filename, then once satisfied, read the filename to check the answer. It has no SRS logic built in of course but it can be an interesting diversion from time to time to point your screensaver at your mnemosyne image directory and set it to random.
