I managed to solve Kanji problem thanks to Jesse but Mnemosyne interface
still looks ugly.

My Debian desktop env. in newer.

Debian: Gnome 2.30.2, Distributor: Debian, Build Date: 07/17/2010
Ubuntu: Gnome 2.28.1, Distributor: Ubuntu, Build Date: 11/03/2009

There is one in Debian repository, mnemosyne (1.2.2-1).
My current version is 1.2.2 installed from .egg file.

On Debian I have Python 2.6.6 and on Ubuntu 2.6.4. I don't know much
about graphic libraries that Mnemosyne uses but I've installed all
newest dependencies listed at http://packages.debian.org/squeeze/mnemosyne.

It would be some help. If I know all graphic libraries that Mnemosyne
uses then maybe I would figure out the cause of my interface problem.

Maybe it's normal that Mnemosyne looks on Debian different than on
Ubuntu. But why so much worse...
