If you only modify next rep for card x, it will not affect card y.

If what you want is cramming, it's much safer for your database to import it into 2.0 and use the cramming mode there, but still use 1.x for your regular reviews until 2.0 comes out.

If you want to stick to 1.x, best to do it on a copy of your database, and leave your original intact.

Hi Peter,
Thanks for the answer and I am willing to use the cram mode in V2.0 as soon
as you release it but until that day I would like to go over some cards that
are scheduled for too far ahead in an earlier date. By the same token,
wouldn't what you advised here affect all the cards? I want to modify the
next rep date for only a subset of the cards. Am I missing something here?

Hi,

What you want to modify is the next-rep parameter, which is giving in days
since you first started using the database. This last parameter is listed as
a unix timestamp at the top of the xml file.

Personally, I advice against tampering too much with the database, though
:-)

 Hi,
I would like to export my library to xml and than programmatically change
the next scheduled date for the longest range cards by a psecified rage (
i.e get all cards that are scheduled to more than 50 days and reschedule
them to tomorrow) and reimport the library to go on with the new scheduled
set.
What parameters should I change to accomplist that and how should I change
them ( I peeked into the xml file and saw a lot of 301's in tags so I
wanted
to make sure by asking before I break some internal dependency)?

Thank you
