I know this is off topic and I apologize, so please reply offlist. I was wondering if anyone (Gwern?) knows of any studies that relate to getting muscle memory to "stick"; i.e., is it better to repeat a physical task over and over for long periods (modulo injury, etc.) vs. frequent breaks; does sleep help/hinder the "setting in" effect, is it better to repeat exactly vs varying aspects of the task, what role does age and/or nootropics play, etc.
