Thanks for your advice, Peter. I used the new setup exe you provided, but the problem persists. I had a closer look at the statistics and understand them better now. I was probably a bit to fast with my first judgement. I decided to stick with the old version for now because although the new version might provide easier formatting for new cards it still means that I will lose the formatting of my current db. I still love mnemosyne for my personal learning as well as for language teaching and I think you've done a fantastic job. I think I've tried nearly every flashcard program there is over the past years, but Mnemosyne is the only one I could pass on to my students as an efficient and reliable as well as easy to use tool for studying languages (I supplied the complete set of course vocabulary for the whole term as a separate db they just had to import). I will certainly give version 2 another go soon when starting a new db. Keep up the excellent work! Uschi
