It is true that in that case the glyphs you repeat from the sentence in the answer side will share the same font and size with the translation, however, but perhaps that is not so bad? Anyway, if there is overwhelming demand for the 'non-Latin characters' hack of Mnemosyne 1.x, this could come back, but probably only as a non-bundled -i.e. externally downloadable- plugin.
