Hi Peter I had a really shocking moment today: my database with +16'000 cards had an error when opening (invalid file format). However I restored the last file from the backup folder successfully.
Now my question: Did I lose any data (like the history)? Because the new mem file is about 200kb smaller in size (4.9Mb instead of 5.1Mb before). The card number is the same according to the log, as well as the cards due. Nothing seems to be different from the behavior, as I can see. In addition, nothing else than the mem file was corrupt. Especially the history folder and the files inside are still okay. (Just a note and recommendation to everyone: I do also daily personal backups to a online file storage of my mnemosyne folder. If the backup from the program itself would not have worked I just had lost one day of repetition and cards adding. I can recommend this to anyone, just to make sure a hard disk failure doesn't mess up all the backups and original mnemosyne database.) Thanks for everything and have a great day!
