You can use 'tab' to move between the fields. But, if you are doing power user stuff and writing scripts, I'd suggest considering using Python scripts to create the cards using libmnemosyne itself. At the moment, this will be a bit easier on Linux, though, as it requires mnemosyne being installed in your python installation, and not stand- alone as with the current windows installer.
