What exactly do you mean by 'the card does not show up'? Normally, the card you were reviewing when you entered the 'add cards' dialog should still be there. The new cards should be either at the end of your learning queue (if the initial grade was 0 or 1), or scheduled in the future (initial grade >=2). Is what you see specific for cards with images, or do text-only cards have the same behaviour?
