I don't want to announce the beta on the website yet. Since there are still some (minor) issues and rough edges, I prefer that only those people give it a try who don't mind posting the issues they have to the mailing list. For people who try out Mnemosyne for the first time, 2.0 is not yet the optimal experience, and they could be scared away without bothering to give feedback.
