If you don't have a desktop version of 1.x, first install 2.0 on the desktop, and then choose 'file' 'import' to import your mem file from your USB key.
Then, similar instructions for running 2.0 on USB key apply as for 1.x. (see our webpage http://mnemosyne-proj.org/help/running-from-usb-drive.php ) Good luck!
