Thanks for sharing this! Now that we're on the topic of useful
resources, I like the concept of http://rhinospike.com , although it
depends on how popular your target language is.
Also, for those of us that don't follow Google+, the development
version now has a new card type Sentence, which is essentially a cross
between Cloze and Vocabulary, and where you can do
Nicht für [die] [Schule:school], s[ondern] für [den] [Spaß:fun]
[lernen:to study] wir.

I use Mnemosyne for instance for re-learning German. I find the
Cloze-deletion card-type very powerful.
Using online dictionaries are ok, but I always prefer to see (and laern)
the word(s) in a context. I came across this resource
http://tatoeba.org/eng/home Provides lots of example sentences in many
languages. Looks very promising! Example of how I use it in Mnemosyne
GER: Nicht für [die] [Schule], s[ondern] für [den] [Spaß] [lernen] wir.
ENG: We do not learn for school, but we learn for fun.
(after having improved my skills for a while I can of course use (part of)
the same sentences for "front to bacK" and vice versa cards)
