Uninstalling and the re-installing version 2.0 worked, no problems now. I backed up the mnemosyne drive before removing it but when I installed version 2.0 a second time the cards were already there. I am a little confused though as to how I could have removed mnemosyne and all its components then re-install a fresh copy and have all the data from the cards I'd made previously already retained??? Anyhow. I'm not complaining, just very happy to have all of my study materials back. Thanks again.
