Quoting [email protected]:
Hey,
I installed Mnemosyne 2.0 on ubuntu. However, I am facing two problems:
(Note that 2.0.1 has been released now)
1- I can not see the tool bar of the software (file, cards, setting,
help) that Windows version has!! Is that still not implemented on
linux or did I miss some libraries before installing Mnemosyne?
Srtange, perhaps there is indeed something broken about your Qt
install. If you start Mnemosyne from a command prompt, do you get any
messages there?
2- I was advised from g+ to copy the db file from Windows version
to /local/share/mnemosyne on ubuntu. Since this path can not be
found on ubuntu, where exactly do I have to copy the db file in
order to make it visible to the program?
The unix data dir is /home/bwadji/.local/share/mnemosyne , so it's a
directory inside your home dir and starts with a dot.
Alternatively, you can also make the Windows machine a sync server,
the unix machine a client, and use Mnemosyne's built-in sync protocol.
Good luck!
Peter
