I encountered this error today on my work PC (Vista), having run the 2.0.1
installer before uninstalling 1.x.
Then I uninstalled the old version (via appwiz.cpl) and ran the 2.0.1
installer again, and it worked.

Make sure that, after uninstalling the old version, the C:\Program Files
(x86)\Mnemosyne directory is gone. It may have been left over due to some
locked files? If not, reboot and delete it manually before running the
installer again.

Please contact the application's support team for more
