I just went in to the backups because I wanted to do a backup of my work and it ended up like this.
Could you give some more details about what exactly you did, i.e. what do you mean by 'going into the backups'?
BTW, for some Mnemosyne errors, deleting the file 'config' helps. It is found in the same directory as 'default.db', usually C:\users\nans\Application Data\Mnemosyne
