Hi,
Sorry the upgrade is giving you issues. Normally, uninstalling the old
version is not required, put perhaps in your case it's different.
Here's what I suggest you do:
* reboot
* uninstall 2.x and delete C:\Program files\Mnemosyne to make sure it is
completely gone. (This will not delete you data)
* delete Mnemosyne 2.x's data directory. It's usually in the hidden
directory C:\users\NotSoHappy\Application Data\Mnemosyne and contains a
file like default.db
* install and run the latest 2.x version, which is 2.1 now.
The upgrade should happen automatically.
If you do get an error, please post a screenshot.
Good luck!
Peter

I understand that posts by new members are held for review by

under what subject they were posted. I totally uninstalled 2.0 an
reinstalled. Much to my surprise all the data was there (some
clarifications on what to expect upon downloading really would have been
appreciated). However, i wanted to change the settings and then also
wanted to get the response to the first card showing and i get an error
message with kazillion errors that i didn't bother to copy. At the end
of the errors it says Database Locked.
Now what?
