Hi,

I'm not really sure what exactly you did in terms of copying, but assuming your netbook still works without problems, use that as a Mnemosyne sync server (configure mnemosyne - sync server).

On your desktop, delete all the folders you copied over (like the non-standard location c:\users\owner\documents\attachments_2012_10_21) as well as the folder which contains default.db (typically C:\users\ownner\application data\mnemosyne).

Then, with the netbook running, start Mnemosyne on the desktop as well and do 'file - sync' on the desktop.

I run this program with no problem on my netbook so I tried to move my database

figured out how to sync computers.  I opened my copied database from a folder I 
had downloaded it to but then later moved it.

Now, the program won't let me open it, giving me an error each time.  I've 
tried many reinstalls, uninstalls, etc.  I'm at a wits end.
