Perhaps there is a path issue and the executables need to be explicitly added to your path? If you open a terminal, and can type 'latex' and 'dvipng' from the command prompt, you should be fine.

The exact instructions on how to update your search path, I leave to an actual OSX user :-)

Cheers,

Peter

First, let me just say that I am not an expert on using the Mac. Not at
all. And my students, whose Mac it is, are not experts either.... but
here's the story:

I got a deck of cards with LaTex working well under Windows.
I then exported the deck and tried to import it on a student's Mac.

For Mac LaTex, I downloaded and installed this on the Mac:
http://mirror.ctan.org/systems/mac/mactex/MacTeX.pkg from the page
http://www.tug.org/mactex/

For Mnemosyne, I am using version 2.1

I think the Mac is using O/S version 10.8....

Everything installed with no errors.

However, when I get to a card with LaTex, Mnemosyne displays the message
"/Problem with latex/. Are /latex/ and /dvipng installed/"
