Hi,
For Mnemosyne, I really try very hard to make the UI as streamlined as
possible, so thanks for noticing :-)
As for review on iPhone, one thing you can currently do is run the
bundled 'mnemosyne-webserver' app on your desktop, and then you can
review using a browser on your iphone if you're connected to your home
network.
My plans for next year are starting on a generic off-line mobile
client using JS and html5, which will then hopefully work both for
Android, iPhone, Windows Phone, ...

Thanks both. I just find the user interface very clunky, and this is after
the new version was released - I never seem to be able to do what I want in
terms of adding/removing tags etc. I've also experienced quite a few bugs
that have held up my learning. But anyway, it adds too much complication,
whereas it seems Mnemosyne neatly compartmentalizes this into plugins.
One major advantage it does have, however - at least now - is an iPhone
app, which is very useful for me to learn on the go. Does anyone know if
there are plans afoot for Mnemosyne to have one? I'd certainly pay for it,
as I paid about 17 GBP for the Anki one.

One big difference is that mnemo is day-based. You will not see the same
card twice on the same day (modulo cramming or learning ahead of course).
I believe Anki has sub-day granularity, which I *instinctively* like, but
could never find a practical use for.
What are your difficulties with Anki, if I may ask?

Hi there,
I've recently started using Anki, but I'm having quite a bit of
difficulty working my around it. Is there anyone who might be able to
enumerate the main differences between Ankin and Mnemosyne? Does Mnemosyne
use the same Supermemo SM2 algorithm, for example, or a different one
altogether?
Any guidance here is much appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
Zak
