Hello,

I am studying for the CCIE Voice written exam for Cisco. It is a multiple
choice exam.

I have been working in this field for a number of years and already have the
certification level right below this one.

I have access to practice exams and use that as my primary means of studying,
along with video tutorials and several books.(Not to mention access to live
systems at work)

In studying for these types of exams in the past I have created a habit of how
I study for them. I usually listen to the same playlist of music on earphones
while studying. I also play the flash game DiceWars while studying to take
micro breaks.

When I study the practice tests I find that my mind will often wander after a
few questions. Almost as if I have run into a mental wall. That is when I take
a microbreak, make a move or two on DiceWars, then go back to the practice test.

Sometimes I make up mnemonics to help my memory...or maybe a silly sentence
that tells a story using keywords of what I want to remember. There is a
definite component of visual memory that I have noticed while studying also.

I have had success with these habits and passed many certification tests.

Would anyone care to comment on the efficacy of this method? Any suggestion for
how to improve it? Am I going about it the wrong way and causing myself
problems?

Also, I am going to be using Mnemosyne in the future to help prepare for the
CCIE lab tests, along with practice labs, videos, and books.

Thank you all in advance.
