Quoting [email protected]:
I've been using Mnemosyne and not sure where to post this. I keep getting the "Uncaught exception error" as I like to back up and use my cards on various computers and locations. This error obviously occurs when it cannot detect the previous database from its last location.
"Uncaught exception" is a generic error message, so you'd need to give more data about the exact message so that I know what exactly caused this.
I wonder if it is possible that mnemosyne could forgo saving the last database location and instead ALWAYS open up the "default.db" that I do not use and is always accessible.
So, you really want Mnemosyne to always start with a database that you do not use? :-)
Seriously though, if indeed the error is one from a path which no longer exists, can you explain in a bit more detail why you wanted to use a database in a different location, and why this path now no longer exists? That might point us to a better solution than annoying the people who are currently very happy that Mnemosyne starts by using the last used database...
