Hello All,

I use Mnemosyne w/ a custom datadir kept in Dropbox.

I do it this way because the Mnemosynes I am trying to sync are on
different operating systems on the same computer, Mac OS X & Linux. (I
perceive that this hinders me from setting up a sync server.)

I have been able to do this by installing Mnemosyne on Mac OS X using the
Linux version & setting up a plist that, upon login, will launch

  mnemosyne -d ~/Dropbox/Mnemosyne

(Like its behavior in the Mnemosyne.app version, but w/ the custom
datadir.)

But when I launch Mnemosyne in Linux after using Mnemosyne in Mac OS X, two
dialogues appear.

First dialogue:

Unable to load file: database version mismatch.

Second dialoge:

    Creating temporary database.

Mnemosyne then creates a ___TMP___ database w/ nothing in it. I am
currently forcing Mnemosyne to open my cards in Linux by:

    rm ~/Dropbox/Mnemosyne/config

*What I Would Like to Know*

1) Why is this happening?

2) If there are any workarounds that will stop this from happening, what
are they & how are they done?

Thank you so!
