Hi Susan, Normally, it should be no problem to add new cards on any machine before syncing.
Did you get an error message while syncing? What could also have happened is that you have two different databases with different names (e.g. A and B) on your two machines. If you have database A open on one machine and B on a different machine, and if you sync from the first machine, database A will sync, and B will be kept as is.
