Hi all, I need help with this program (I'm using the latest version).
- I uninstalled the program in order to get rid of the set of cards I was using before (there is no obvious way of closing a set once its open). I used the uninstall program and then used CCleaner and *3* different registry cleaners to clean every last trace of Mnemosyne. Then rebooted. Then installed the program anew. Imagine my surprise when my old, unwanted deck of cards appeared in the newly-installed program! I want to open my large comma-separated text file as a brand new set of cards. I want nothing to do with the cards I was using before uninstalling the program. If I try *New*, I am invited to open a database, and my file is not a database file, so I can do nothing here. If I select *Open*, again I am asked to open a database, so I can do nothing here either. If I choose *Import*, it just adds the entries on my comma-separated text file to the cards that are already open, which I do not want! So my questions are: 1) How do I *close* the open cards and get rid of them entirely? There should be a "close" option in the File menu. 2) If I manage to close the existing cards and import just the cards from my comma-separated text file, how do I then convert those cards into a Mnemosyne Database? I really like this program's look and simplicity (compared to Anki) and would dearly like to get around the above issues. I have read the PDF user guide for this program, but it does not cover things like this.
