I'm really not sure it's a good idea to suggest any command starting with
'rm -rf' to people who don't know how to uninstall things already. If
something goes wrong, they could wipe out anything and everything...

Perhaps better, if it's not possible to produce a .deb package (why?) would
be to write an uninstall script. Much better would be a .deb package
though, since then you can do things like 'apt-get --purge remove
mnemosyne'?
